Director of Product

📍 Oslo
💰 Salary: 1,450,000 – 1,600,000 NOK
🌍 Why this role matters
At Aidn we're building the next generation of health technology for Norwegian municipalities. A platform where residents, healthcare professionals and relatives work together, and where the digital backbone of the municipal health service actually holds.
The platform is the foundation everything else at Aidn is built on. Today that means Infrastructure, IAM, Data Migrations and Open Aidn, plus the technical onboarding that helps every new municipality get onboarded onto Aidn. We've built a platform that serves our current customers well. The job is now to make sure it scales through the heavy implementation wave we're in, and beyond.
As a Director of Product in Platform, you'll own the full product outcomes for the area. That includes both strategy and execution. If you’re able to make sure this works, the platform will accomplish two things: 1) it will make every other team at Aidn faster and safer, and 2) it becomes the foundation for the ecosystem and platform play that opens up where we go next.

🔧 What you'll be working on
Over the next year, you'll own both the strategy and the execution of one of Aidn's main product areas. You'll focus on:
Defining and refining the platform product strategy, vision and roadmap together with the CPO and product/engineering leadership - making sure it scales through the implementation wave and sets up the path to extend the platform.
Leading the cross-team and cross-org initiatives that are critical to the platform's and the company's success, and owning the dependency and risk picture for platform-dependent work (sequencing, reuse of shared capabilities, early escalation of conflicts).
Leading, coaching, recruiting and developing the platform PMs, and owning product practice across the area (PRDs, SPADEs, roadmaps, discovery) in line with Aidn's ways of working.
Setting the bar for AI-native product development across the platform teams, both building AI into the product and using AI to uplevel how we work.
Being accountable for the platform delivering on both horizons: scaling with the implementation wave (technical onboarding, migration, integration ecosystem) and opening the platform up over time to new segments/markets.
Partnering with Design and Engineering leadership on resource allocation and execution, and other departments, to accomplish what the company’s strategy needs.
You'll work as a player-coach. You’ll lead and coach the platform PMs while staying close enough to set direction on the work that matters most. You’ll report to the CPO and will collaborate closely with the product area's trio, together with the Director of Engineering and Director of Design. The area is more than 30 people across four teams; on the product side you'll lead three PMs and an integration lead today.
🤝 Who you are
You're an experienced product leader who's energised by building the foundations others build on, by scale and technical complexity, and by the player-coach balance of leading while staying close to the product.
You probably have:
5+ years as a product manager leading teams through modern discovery and delivery, and 4+ years leading product managers (Director of PM, Head of Product or similar).
A track record of owning product strategy and execution for an area, and driving cross-team / cross-org initiatives to outcomes.
Experience building AI-powered products - shipping real AI/LLM or agentic features - with judgment on discovery, quality, guardrails, and where AI does and doesn't belong. You're genuinely AI-native in how you work, and make that the default across your team.
Enough technical fluency to earn the trust of Engineering and make sound calls on platform dilemmas.
Experience in regulated, safety-critical or otherwise complex systems where reliability and trust matter, and a real coaching instinct for building PM teams.
Norwegian at C1 level, plus English.
It's a plus if you've:
Led product for platform, infrastructure, API or developer-facing products (things other teams build on).
Taken a product org through the shift to a true multi-product platform.
Ecosystem / Public API / developer-platform or partner experience.
Healthcare experience, or scaled a B2B or B2G product to large, complex customers.
💬 Personal qualities
Energetic, driven and structured - you bring clarity and a higher bar.
A strong communicator and collaborator, pragmatic with product frameworks.
Comfortable owning ambiguity and the cross-cutting agenda no one else is holding.
Steady under a heavy delivery load.

💬 What success looks like
In 3 months
You've formed a sharp point of view on where the platform must go.
You know the biggest risks across the four teams and have a plan to attack them.
The PMs and other Directors in the area already feel the difference - clearer direction, faster calls, a higher bar.
In 6 months
A clear, compelling platform strategy seen as a driver of how Aidn scales.
The implementation wave is de-risked and accelerating, with proof that onboarding and migration scale.
The extension/ecosystem play has a real, committed plan, and you own the cross-team dependency picture.
In 12 months
The platform is a competitive advantage - the cost and effort of onboarding and migrating each customer goes down as volume goes up.
A best-in-class, largely self-driving platform PM team, with product practice clearly raised across the area.
Durable product direction in the area: no longer reactive, with key-person risk gone.
💙 Why you'll love working here

🧠 Rare scope, at the right moment - You'll scale a multi-product platform that already has a 100% win rate in its first product, with very high demand for the next - and help set up Aidn's move into new markets and a healthcare ecosystem.
